Magnificent home - good value for money

5 of 5
This Home is just amazing. Our expectations where high, based on the Pictures, but was nothing compared with real life. State of the art, clean and with a truely stunning view. We had cars, but under 100 meter away, the bus to the Cityexpress lift went every hour and took only 8 min. . If you go by car, we recomend going to the kitzsteinhorn gletcher, fantastic skiing and resturants. Overall this stay could not have been better, standard and location taking into considaration, this home is really good value for money

Spacious and Convenient Apartment

5 of 5
A friend and I spent a week in Vienna and chose this apartment because we each wanted our own room and this was an economical way to do so. I prefer staying in apartments because they tend to be quieter than hotels, offer more space, and make me feel more at home in another city. The booking process was easy and Mani was very quick to confirm the reservation and to provide information. Location- The apartment is on a quiet street- no windows face the main road, but it is also very convenient to everything. The bathtub is incredible and the deepest one I've ever seen! Nicer than every 5 star hotel I've stayed in! Just a few steps away, you can catch the 71 tram that runs straight to the heart of the city or one of the S-bahn trains at Rennweg. It's probably a good idea to buy a transportation card when staying here so that you can make use of the great public transportation in Vienna without stopping to buy tickets. If arriving by train, it's one stop from Wien-Mitte station (and U-bahn), the O tram is a few stops from Haubahnhoft (trains to Bratislava) and I was at my train in Westbahnhoft station in about 20 minutes. The apartment is very well maintained and exactly as pictured. The kitchen had everything we needed- hot water kettle, coffee maker, and toaster. We also made dinner once and found we had plenty of pots, pans, and other necessities. There are a number of affordable restaurants about a half-block away and we enjoyed all of them. There are banks, fast food, and a grocery store easily accessible in the Rennweg station mall.

Mani's District 9 Apartment

5 of 5
To give perspective, I am an experienced traveler from the USA who has been using VRBO the last few years. I stayed 10 days in Mani's apartment in December. I think I was the first person in there after it was remodeled and furnished. The photos and Mani's description are accurate. It really is 2.5 Min. from the U-4 line and minutes from everything in the historic city center. If you intend to spend most of your time there, you can't do better than this property for location. I felt safe walking around the area even late at night (just remember you are in a big cosmopolitan city). Note that Wien Mitte is also called "Landstrasse" on the CAT train info. lest you get confused. For 2012 the CAT train station is undergoing a complete reconstruction so the transfer to the U-4 is kind of an adventure. The property is in a 100 year old block characteristic of the whole district. It has a lift that drops you at the front door of the apartment. The apartment faces the inner courtyard and has 2-ft. thick brick walls. This was the quietest place I have every stayed. I only encountered two people in the building in 10 days, although several permanent residences are there. In the winter the water heater must run to circulate water through the radiators, but you get used to it. The furnishings are modern minimalist, couch and bed very comfortable (for the Americans its not your Certa posturpedic). The kitchen is functional, well stocked and the bathroom has a new shower in it. Something to do is turn left upon exiting the door of the building, Turn right at the corner and in a block you will encounter a floor-to-ceiling "Altesware" (antique) store. Even if your'e not into that, do it anyway, keep walking to the Zielpunct, restaurants etc. Mani was very responsive and friendly and easy to work with. He always answers his phone, so you have an excellent connection as needed. If you are into immersion but want the quiet place to rest, this is ideal. I highly recommend this apartment and Mani's service along with it.
