Our family of 4 stayed at Rancho Azul from July 22-August 1, 2014. 2 teenagers and 2 adults. We loved the house and especially the pool. The current owners of this property aquired it in April of 2014. We were provided with a GPS for our rental car at no cost by the owners, with Rancho Azul programmed as "Home". As this was our first visit to Aruba, it proved invaluable in helping us to get to the house when we arrived in Aruba, and getting around the island. The pool was cleaned twice while we were there, and is in great shape, with multi colored lights for night time enjoyment. As stated in previous reviews, during the day with the windows closed the house gets hot. We would just open the windows when we got home, and as there is always a good breeze blowing the air circulation would cool down quickly, but we didn't really spend much time sitting inside. If we were at the house we were outside or getting ready to go somewhere. The bedroom air conditioners were quick to cooldown the bedrooms, with the smallest bedroom with the smallest air conditioner having the hardest time cooling it down, but it would do the job after a few hours. The washer/dryer are new, and worked great. The stainless steel refridgerator was fine. The outdoor grill was outstanding, as it was fairly new and in great shape. The 4 burner gas stove in kitchen has a movable cast iron rectangular skillet where we did some cooking also. The pictures on the website are a little outdated, the canvas shade hooked to 4 posts is now a pergola with no shade. There is a small rental cottage next to the Rancho Azul property, but it is seperated by the house and a fence when out at pool, and we never noticed it. The outside shower and bathroom were nice to have. When we had to call the management company about a window problem we had, they were very quick to respond, and their property caretaker (Stewart) was very helpful, both with the house and with island information. The Wi-Fi was a little underpowered, perhaps a stronger router would help get the signal farther from the Master Bedroom where it was located, along with a PC for guest use. We liked the location, which really is just minutes from the high rise area, but out in the country. The house has a security system, but we never used it. We felt very safe, and the house is in a nice, normal development.
To sum it all up, we would definately recommend Rancho Azul, and we will certainly stay there again on our next visit.
