We stayed here for 10 days and it was absolutely WONDERFUL! The penthouse itself is beautifully decorated and luxurious, very clean, and ultra comfortable. It was even better than we expected, and we were very impressed and excited when we arrived.
First, you cant beat the VIEW from this place...it faces west and has lots of huge windows, so the sunsets were INCREDIBLE every single day!!! The rooftop level was my favorite spot, especially during sunset and at night under the stars. In the evening the property swimming pools were lit up with colorful lights, so that the view was always stunning.
The penthouse itself is very big, with a great open floor plan with plenty of room for a large family or group. There are 4 big comfortable bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and several large living/gathering areas, so there was lots of space to spread out, but still all stay in one place together (rather than being in separate rooms on different floors in a hotel!). This made it very convenient for us to talk, have coffee, eat and drink together, and just spend quality time.
Speaking of food, we were really happy to find that the kitchen had everything we needed to actually cook (pots and pans, good knives, blender, even a sandwich press...the works!)…We took one quick trip to the nearby grocery store, and we had everything we needed. (There was a new, large, modern, supermarket right down the road called "Super Food" that had EVERYTHING, and also a great local fresh fish market called "Daily Fish.")
The location was convenient to everything we wanted to do, and we had no trouble finding our way around. We rented a car (the place comes with a convenient parking spot near the elevators), but we also noticed that the bus runs right in front of the property, so that seemed like it would have been convenient too. The penthouse is not far from the high-rise hotels, the downtown casinos, restaurants, and nightlife, but it’s in a quiet, safe area, so it was perfect for whatever each of us wanted to do for entertainment.
The beach was just a quick walk across the street, and there were plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, and even a cooler (this alone was a bonus for us, as we realized that we wouldn't have had these conveniences included at a hotel). I was on the beach with my feet in the sand in 3 minutes after leaving the front door.
Every minute at this place felt like a TRUE VACATION. If I go to Aruba again, I wouldn't even be tempted to stay anywhere else!
