TRULY A "HOME AWAY FROM HOME"!

5 of 5
How can I possibly express in words how we felt upon opening the door to this fabulous villa! It's even better than it looks in the pictures! We wanted to experience the island in a more laid back way than in a timeshare or hotel. This was the perfect place to do just that. It was so nice to relax and enjoy our vacation with the children. We really loved having the quiet pool to come home to after a day exploring or at the beach. This house is in a lovely neighborhood that is literally minutes from beaches and landmarks. It was so cool to be outside drinking our coffee in the morning and hearing the rooster crowing! Our son was trying to spy any iguanas over the wall when he wasn't in the pool and the girls and I had such fun cooking in the beautiful modern kitchen! I was admittedly taken aback by the smaller than I'm used to oven, but we had NO problem preparing meals for our family of 5 in it! It actually cut our cooking time in half! There is a little grocery store right around the corner and Super Food is a 5 minute drive. I could go on and on about the positives all day. (The only negative was that we had to leave!) But the bottom line is this. We felt as if we were staying in a family home. Peter and Helen really have thought of everything! Thank you again for sharing your home with us! We are hoping to be able to stay at Aruba Paradise Villa again next year!

OUR NEW HOME AWAY FROM HOME

5 of 5
SO happy we stayed at Sunset Beach! These folks will literally do everything to make your stay fabulous. We met new friends while we grilled out by the pool, befriended the two resident cats (we miss them already and we're not even "cat" people, and we were treated like family. This was our first trip to Aruba. When we return, we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else. This is our new home away from home when traveling to Aruba. The convenience to beaches, restaurants, night life really is perfect. Highly recommend Sunset Beach.

BEAUTIFUL INSIDE, STUNNING VIEWS, TRUE VACATION!

5 of 5
We stayed here for 10 days and it was absolutely WONDERFUL! The penthouse itself is beautifully decorated and luxurious, very clean, and ultra comfortable. It was even better than we expected, and we were very impressed and excited when we arrived. First, you cant beat the VIEW from this place...it faces west and has lots of huge windows, so the sunsets were INCREDIBLE every single day!!! The rooftop level was my favorite spot, especially during sunset and at night under the stars. In the evening the property swimming pools were lit up with colorful lights, so that the view was always stunning. The penthouse itself is very big, with a great open floor plan with plenty of room for a large family or group. There are 4 big comfortable bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and several large living/gathering areas, so there was lots of space to spread out, but still all stay in one place together (rather than being in separate rooms on different floors in a hotel!). This made it very convenient for us to talk, have coffee, eat and drink together, and just spend quality time. Speaking of food, we were really happy to find that the kitchen had everything we needed to actually cook (pots and pans, good knives, blender, even a sandwich press...the works!)…We took one quick trip to the nearby grocery store, and we had everything we needed. (There was a new, large, modern, supermarket right down the road called "Super Food" that had EVERYTHING, and also a great local fresh fish market called "Daily Fish.") The location was convenient to everything we wanted to do, and we had no trouble finding our way around. We rented a car (the place comes with a convenient parking spot near the elevators), but we also noticed that the bus runs right in front of the property, so that seemed like it would have been convenient too. The penthouse is not far from the high-rise hotels, the downtown casinos, restaurants, and nightlife, but it’s in a quiet, safe area, so it was perfect for whatever each of us wanted to do for entertainment. The beach was just a quick walk across the street, and there were plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, and even a cooler (this alone was a bonus for us, as we realized that we wouldn't have had these conveniences included at a hotel). I was on the beach with my feet in the sand in 3 minutes after leaving the front door. Every minute at this place felt like a TRUE VACATION. If I go to Aruba again, I wouldn't even be tempted to stay anywhere else!
