A Perfect Holiday in Paradise

5 of 5
Just back from 2 weeks here. After years of all-inclusives, this was our first DIY holiday, and we found the perfect venue! The condo and property are well-maintained and the amenities exactly as described. Mrs. Dirima, the consierge, is available onsite for any questions or advice (i.e. how to access a taxi or how to use the washing machine), and Enzo, the owner, is easily accessible by email. The kitchen is well-equipped. Large grocery stores are an easy cab-ride away (Super Food was our favourite - they'll order you a cab at the checkout), plus there's a variety store a short walk off the beach across from Casa del Mar Beach Club, which is handy if you only need a few items like bread, cheese or drinks. We enjoyed preparing our own meals. The condo features a protected and sunny front porch, ideal for cleanup after the beach. There's a spacious patio at the back, where we spent most of our time, eating, reading and relaxing. It is shaded and has a ceiling light, allowing us to optimize our time outdoors . The pool is well-maintained and quiet, with ample access to lounge chairs and a shaded shed . Car rental is not necessary, as cabs are easily accessible, but can be handy if you want to tour. Eagle Beach, the best beach in Aruba, is an easy walk from the property (about a block and a half). If you drive, parking is accessible along the beach. There are plenty of trees for shade, and the beach chairs provided with the condo are in good condition and easy to carry. You'll find endless pristine beach. To the left is Costa Linda Beach Resort, followed by other time shares and all-inclusive hotels. To the right is all public beach. You can walk for miles in either direction, or just enjoy the water and let the gentle waves wash over you. Wonderful restaurants abound. We enjoyed Driftwood (fresh local seafood - downtown Oranjestad), Red Fish (local seafood closer to condo), and Water's Edge 12° N at Costa Linda (fine dining). All 3 were excellent. We enjoyed 2-for 1 drinks at Costa Linda during Happy Hour. We also discovered A Taste of Aruba in the Orange Plaza (nearby - same plaza as Red Fish), where you can sample and purchase local Aruban rums and hot sauces. In short, Enzo's condo has much to recommend it, both in terms of its amenities as well as its location. It offers a quiet retreat, yet is readily accessible to the best beach and a short drive to everything else. We'd return without hesitation!

Wonderful home on the happy island

5 of 5
We had a great stay at this comfortable and well-equipped home. The home is just as advertised, and the amenities are top-tier. The kitchen is perfect for making meals at home, and the beds are very comfortable. There is a nice pool just a few steps away from the home, and there is good security (the guards make rounds regularly). We really enjoyed eating outside on the front patio (seating for 4). But for our family, the location is what made this an ideal rental - it is close to many restaurants (nearby Barneys is great for burgers), the two main tourist malls and many fabulous beaches. Our ability to visit different beaches was based on having a rental car - which I would highly recommend for getting groceries and visiting other parts of the island. We made use of the beach chairs that Tom and Karen provided, and there are ample beach towels on site. The local management company, Aruba Happy Rentals, gave us a warm welcome. They were also extremely responsive when we had a minor issue with one of the air conditioners - it was fixed the very next day after we reported it. The owner, Tom, is prompt with correspondence and most helpful as well. So, this place gets a 5-star review from us, both in terms of facilities and for excellent service.
