We had an excellent week!

4 of 5
My friends and I had an excellent time at Aruba staying in this unit! The location of the property was convenient for grocery shopping and walking to the beach, the designated parking space in the gated area was definitely appreciated! The inside of the unit was as described and the property was quiet so we could all have some much-needed rest! The owner of the property sent me an email a couple of days into our stay to make sure everything was going well, which was much appreciated. It would have been nice if there was a local phone in the property so we could book tours and things since there was no hotel concierge to do it for us, but the wifi was excellent and high speed There is not too much within walking distance aside from the beach and a fancy restaurant, The Screaming Eagle (the food is only mediocre btw) - but the location is convenient for driving into Oranjestad and other attractions around the island. Because of the proximity to the low rise hotel area, my friends and I just went to the hotel beach bars when we were in need of a fruity cocktail on the beach, which worked out well for us, and ensured that no one had to drive home! The location is clearly in an area that is development, there was a lot of construction around the property, but we didn't hear any construction noise at all. It's also behind the hospital, but we didn't hear any ambulances like we are used to in Boston! Overall this is a fantastic property and we had a great time, I would definitely recommend this property if you are visiting Aruba.

Aruba vacation July 2014

5 of 5
We arrived at the airport after about a four hour flight and were promptly met by the car rental company we hired. Driving to the townhouse was easy and we were met by Aruba Happy Rentals quickly to get us acquainted with the property and give us the keys. The townhouse is spacious with living room, dining room and kitchen as well as three bedrooms all tastefully decorated. We quickly stowed our belongings and headed to Palm Beach which was just a quick five minute drive. We parked the car and headed out to the beach to watch the sunset. Truly amazing! While in Aruba we visited Palm Beach, Eagle Beach, Manchebo, Baby Beach, Arashi Beach, California Lighthouse and Colorado Point all easily accessible from the townhouse. Colorado Point had one of the prettiest views I've ever seen. We also went on a snorkeling trip with Tranquillo located in Oranjestad that was wonderful. We did the Kookoo Kanuku pub craw for a taste of Oranjestad night life. We ate most meals around Palm Beach including Casa Tua, Smoky Joe's and our favorite Gianni's. We enjoyed happy hour at Moomba's beach bar and watching the sunset every night. Everything was so conveniently located to the townhouse. I would definitely recommend renting a car to see all the beauty Aruba has to offer. We will definitely be back for another visit.
