GREAT HOUSE WITH AN INTERESTING HISTORY

5 of 5
We stayed here during our visit to Arkansas for a football game. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 3 children. The pictures and descriptions of the house are very accurate. It actually felt bigger than I was expecting. The upstairs loft area was a great place for the kids to sleep and hang out. The entire house felt spacious and there was plenty of room for us to all spread out. The only bathroom with a shower is off the master bedroom. It was fine for us and we all just took turns taking showers, but it might be an issue for anyone who requires more privacy. Sometimes the plumbing in old houses can be an issue, but it worked excellent for us. All of the fixtures and appliances were clean, modern, and in good working order. You can really tell that the owner put much effort into making sure we had anything we needed. There were extra (soft and fluffy) towels and bed linens tucked all through the house. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook and eat several meals at the house. There was even milk and OJ left for us in the fridge. The drive to Fayetteville is an easy one and takes about 15 minutes or less. We got a taxi to take us to and from the football game for $40 each way. Not too bad! There is a nice grocery store, Sonic and pizza place less than a mile away. We took one day to visit War Eagle Mill, War Eagle Cavern and Turpentine Creek Wildlife Park. The drive to the Mill was right around 30 minutes and was beautiful. This is a great place to bring kids or to just relax and get away from it all. We will be back the next time the Aggies play in Arkansas!

STAY REVIEW

5 of 5
I want to say "thank you" to Rick and his wife for making our short stay in Fayetteville, Arkansas an enjoyable one. My daughter and I were on a college visit and had trouble finding a place to stay that was close to the university. My husband found this vacation rental for us and we were so happy. We usually stay in VRBO's when away because we enjoy cooking our own meals and having good space to move around. This home was about 5 minutes from the university and was perfect. I want to say that we arrived about midnight, the house was easy to access and already warm for us. Also, there were spices and oil in the cabinet, along with peanut butter, a sleeve of crackers and various other items for cooking. This was so nice because usually VRBO's are completely vacant of these items and we have to go out to get them even if we're staying a short time. The house was spacious, clean and the on-line description was right on accurate. Rick also called us the next morning to make sure we got in ok and that we had no questions. Thanks for making our first stay so warm and welcoming. We'll definitely stay here again when we visit Fayetteville and recommend to friends and family. One last importnt detail, a big "thank you" for making your home pet free and smoke free. A big plus for our family - and we own 2 dogs.
