Great Home Base for Family Fun

5 of 5
The WRR is a very well cared for home that had everyone one needs, proximity to town, the train station, and a short day trip distance to the South Rim of thenGrand Canyon. We had 3 adults and 2 kids (4 & 5 yo). We had ample room and the loft area was a particular treat for our boys. The owner and the property manager were very easy to reach and helpful when we had a few questions. The only thing we missed was a hair dryer and wine opener ( which we were able to pick up at the Dollar General and left behind for whoever comes next). There are enough towels to go around, but no separate hot tub towels. The hot tub was great - a nice addition for the cool evenings. The children's playset and trampoline also got near daily use. The patio was great to enjoy a morning coffee and book. The trains just across the prairie were fun to watch and not a problem at night unless you are an early or light sleeper. We did the train to he South rim which was great as its nearly 100 years old. They make it fun for everyone with entertainment on board and cabin stewards that provide a lot of info along the trip. We used our train tickets the next day to get into the Grand Canyon for free ($25 car entry fee waived) and explored deeper at our own leisure. Do not miss seeing the El Tovar hotel, the Desert View Watchtower, and taking a hike among the many available trails. We also took in Bearizona (which we didn't know offers a discount to those who have taken the train ride) and the very dated Bedrock City. We likened Williams to Radiator Springs - very quaint with very nice people.

Great time in a great place

4 of 5
The house was clean and recently remodeled. Modest house in a modest neighborhood. We were pleasantly surprised with it. The girls each had their own bedroom (good thing) and I was happy to see the Sleep Number bed in the master! We had two main reasons to pick this property. Not having been in Arizona before, we found that Williams was central to what we wanted to visit (Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Sedona, Prescott, Jerome). The other thing was Bob, the property owner. Having lived in the area for a long time, Bob gave us some great ideas on things to do. Time didn't permit seeing it all and unfortunately we barely scratched what was in the town of Williams. Hopefully if there is a next time, we can stay here again and see more of what Williams has to offer. Nice place! I only marked it a 4 star because it wasn't a "chalet on the mountain", however it was a nice place that had excellent access to town. Our college age girls even walked to the downtown to a coffee shop.

Wonderful Home!

5 of 5
Perfect home for my family! Everyone was comfortable, and the home was perfect for our trips to the National Parks in the area. Peaceful, clean and cozy! My teenager and older parents stayed for Spring Break. Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Petrified Forest, Painted Desert and Bearizona were the highlights of the trip. Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful home!
