Lovely feel at home apartment

5 of 5
We arrived in Tucson after a long, late night flight and were exhausted. We opened the door to this lovely gem and breathed a sigh of relief, we felt at home. The location is very convenient, and even though it is so close to the lively district it is very quiet. There are some staples in the cupboard, we were thrilled to be able to make a cup of coffee and tea and even have honey in it before leaving the next morning. The bed is comfortable, the lighting very good. Our only problem was that there were no regular chairs. All chairs are high "bar type". That gets uncomfortable if working on a laptop or that type of activity for any length of time. We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Tucson who wants to be near U of A or the downtown area. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Wonderful Location and Perfect for Two

5 of 5
We had a wonderful week! The carriage house was just right for the two of us, it had everything we needed. The courtyard was a great spot for morning coffee or relaxing in the early evening after exploring Tucson or the surrounding area. The wonderful eclectic 4th Avenue shopping district is within walking distance, a block away. There is a very nice Co-op, Food Conspiracy Co-op, for groceries, various stores for all sort of other shopping plus a number of nice places to eat. I would also suggest Time Market, 3rd and University for beer, wine or a slice of pizza. However we mostly picked up groceries and ate in. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The carriage house is also close to downtown or if you are looking to head out into the surrounding area, close to highway access. Once the light rail system is up and running in the fall of 2013, access all over the city will be even better. We are looking forward to a return trip and would definitely stay here again.

Location with great walk score.

5 of 5
I stayed 2 months, from Oct 15 thru Dec 15, and found the apartment very clean and well supplied, there is unique southwest decoration style keeping with the age of the home. Neighbors were quiet and a pleasant. The landlords were friendly and very helpful, with prompt response to any call. I had a front row seat, on the front porch, for the El Tour de Tucson bike race. It was great to be within walking distance of many things I enjoy ( walk score is 85). I walked to a symphony performance, local live theatre, multiple restaurants, the Y, the public library, museums, several art galleries, coffee shops and to a local drawing studio where I took classes. I walked downtown to watch the All Souls Procession and participated in the Armory Park Home Tour (both of which I would recomend.) The 4th Avenue Street Fair, Amtrak station and local bus center are also in walking distance. Can't wait to get back and enjoy more sunshine in a wonderful location. (Home town Seattle, WA)
