Diamond in the Rough

5 of 5
We recently stayed at the glass cottage during our time in Tucson to perform and celebrate our marriage. There is no way to describe the awe that occurs when you first roll up to the property - it is aesthetically breathtaking. We took the time to wander around both buildings that comprise the entire home and explore the surrounding desert landscape before moving in. Once we started arranging our personal belongings we realized how completely functional the space is. There are more than enough hidden storage areas to hold your items and avoid cluttering the beautiful space. We appreciated the fireplace being in the bedroom and made sure to take advantage of it every evening. The shower makes it very fun to get cleaned up because it provides the allusion of being outside in the desert. Waking up to the sunrise every morning was more peaceful that the grievance that an alarm causes. There is a Fry’s grocery store, Walgreens, multiple retail necessities, and even an Eegie’s within a 5 minute drive. Make sure to buy groceries and make use of the fully equipped kitchen. There is a coffee maker, French press, grinder, juicer, pots/pans, dinnerware, silverware, grill & accessories, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, and MORE. There is no better place to spend breakfast, lunch, and dinner than the spot facing East and designated separately from the bedroom. We even brought a guitar and must say that the acoustics in BOTH halves of the home were absolutely incredible. Make sure you take a stroll around the property. You have a generous amount of space to do so without intruding on the neighbors. The area is full of exotic plants and you feel as if you are taking a tour through the desert botanical gardens. Thank you for creating this space so that folks like us are able to experience a true architectural piece of art surrounded by beautiful views of the Catalina Mountains.

Amazing location for our family Thanksgiving!!

5 of 5
This property is off the hook! We had an amazing time and everything was so perfect that it made our time even better!! The welcome bag stuffed full of goodies, the wine, fresh fruit and personal note were so thoughtful and much appreciated. The whole house is amazing and we used every square inch of it. It was extremely comfortable and a complete oasis away from our everyday lives. Obviously Mark and Susan built this home with care and consideration of the flow and functions of families. Every detail was attended to and we loved our time there. We would definitely return and stay again. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us. Butler family

Incredible western, artistic, serene getaway!

5 of 5
If you're seeking the perfect location, not too far from town....in a well kept, clean, western style environment with amazing artistry inside and incredible views outside, look no further. The owners struck a great balance by providing privacy and being reachable anytime by phone. If there was something you needed, they went out of their way to get it. Between the comfortable bed, exhilarating inground pool and view, amazing selection of music, relaxing outdoor veranda, birds sounds, mini fridge and microwave, lots of closet space, and affordable price....this home away from home has become a definite "do over" for us. My husband and I plan to return as often as possible whenever we visit from the east coast.
