Our family is ever so grateful to the owners of this home for making it available. Rio Rico and the Nogales area have limited options for visitors. We visit the area several times a year, to visit family. The only lodgings we usually use are the Tubac Resort (expensive and limited facilities and food) and the Holiday Inn Express. This year however we needed more of a home setting to be together as a family, as we were going through a funeral as well as the Thanksgiving holiday. Our children are two young girls, ages 5 and 2. Our adult brother and wife also stayed in the home. We had plenty of space, and were able to enjoy meals in and relax. The views can't be beat in this area.
The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms were clean and sufficient. This area of Arizona is not known for customer service and quality amenities, as it is a very small town. The home had been cleaned, but a few minor details may have been overlooked, such as sheets on the beds, and stocking toilet paper. But those minor issues are easily fixed.
The owners were so kind and accessible by phone and email, which is important when you are in someone's home. There were some toys available and the DISH tv worked well. Internet was working but slow for "streaming". (likely best available in the area). Cattle in the area (open range) do walk through the property and leave their "prizes". The area is not well lit on the roads after dark and so anyone who is uncomfortable with night driving should be aware. The home is very secure with an alarm system and good. Very quiet and peaceful.
