A LOVELY GEM IN THE WOODS

5 of 5
This house is amazing. The caretakers/proprietors made this a clean, inviting experience. It is very well decorated and it comes fully equipped. We did NOT want for anything in the way of comfort. All of the comfort and ease was provided for us. They even had a "welcome" basket with some goodies in it. The directions to the cabin, the instructions about what to do once we got to the cabin were all very easy to understand and follow. This is a quality location with great privacy. It is roughly 15 minutes from Flagstaff and roughly an hour or so from the Grand Canyon. Ideal if you have children and don't want to "rough" it. We would definitely recommend this to friends and family. We would also stay here again in the future! Thank you all for having us, it was a pleasure writing this review.

OUR GO TO PLACE IN PINETOP

5 of 5
This is the second time we have stayed in the Ponderosa Lodge when we visited Pinetop. Primarily because we have family that lives across the street but also because it's the perfect place to walk into and set up for a relaxing stay. Other than food and toiletries everything you would need to feel at home is there. It's in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by other nice homes, paved streets, and all the necessities like washer/dryer, dishwasher, garage, and a beautiful deck under the pine trees across the front. It is clean and well maintained and the rental process is hassle free and convenient. It's nice to have this as an option when my sister's house is too crowded! We have stayed both times in the summer months, but this would also be a great property for winter visitors to SunRise. I would highly recommend the property.

COZY CABIN PERFECT FOR EXPLORING RED ROCK COUNTRY, GREAT FOR KIDS

5 of 5
We stayed in this lovely cabin the last week of 2012. It was perfect for our family with 3 kids - 7, 5, 2. The ample outside space allowed the kids to practice their soccer skills every day. The kitchen was well-stocked and the heater worked very well. We loved the breakfast table with the great view of Cathedral Rock. We saw a rather large coyote on our drive back to the cabin one evening. The owner Marcia recommended the Heartline Cafe where we had a delicious four course Christmas dinner. On the last day it snowed and was absolutely gorgeous. Nice selection of reading material and games. Sedona is a lovely town and a great base for exploring the area. We did several nearby hikes and went to the mining town of Jerome for a day. We also visited Walnut Canyon, Tuzigoot and Montezuma castle national monuments all of which have ancient Indian dwellings. The older kids were proud of the Junior Ranger park badges they earned. We never turned on the TV or used the iPad the whole week! We stayed in a few hotels following our stay in Sedona and we really missed the extra space and privacy the cabin provided.
