Glorious Family Retreat

5 of 5
Glorious Family Retreat! This beautiful home was the perfect place and setting for us to stay during our recent family reunion. It was even more beautiful than expected, spotless and had everything we could possibly need to make us feel at home. We spent hours on the deck listening to the "musical" quiet, of creek, trees and cicadas. The owners have made a beautiful retreat and the site contact was very responsive and friendly. I would highly recommend this home that my husband described as a "paradise" to anyone looking for a sanctuary on the creek in Oak Creek Canyon. We took advantage of red rock walks daily, cooked in the lovely kitchen and did yoga on the deck. We have visited Sedona several times and always love Garland's Indian Jewelry Store across the road from this charming community. The sandwiches at Indian Gardens Market are superb. There is so much to do in the Sedona area, but this home is so lovely it was hard to leave! Our grown children (several cousins) had a great evening playing pool in the den. We hope to return to this lovely place of Solitude. Terry and David Wright

Absolutely perfect!

Words can not express how perfect our experience with stone haven was. From the time we inquired, the reserving process, the informative emails prior to check in date with lots of details and step by step directions to the place, the ease of checking in, our entire stay and timely returning of the deposit- it all was amazing. Sandra is so nice and the cabin was even more beautiful than the pictures show! Surely, this will be a regular place for us to stay! We can't wait to return to stone haven And highly recommend it for your stay!

Amazing deal, 1 week to get away from it all

This cabin is new, and I think we were one of the first to stay there. The cabin was in a vacation community in the woods of Show Low. Shopping at Wal-Mart and restaurants is very close, but we still felt like we were away from it all, which was ideal. The scenery is very beautiful all around, and there is about a quarter mile of pure woods directly behind the cabin. I got the impression that the community is more popular in the summer, but we LOVED it in the winter, and there was almost nobody else there. The cabin itself was a good size for about 4 people. There is a bedroom with a door that closes, and the loft room has a really low ceiling, which was actually pretty fun to stay in. The loft has a nice Queen size blow-up mattress, but if it were up to me, I would banish the kids to that mattress. The kitchen had everything we needed. 4 plates, bowls, cups, etc., there was a crock pot, blender, juice pitchers, and a couple pots and pans. They had silverware and cooking spoons, can opener, and spatulas, etc. We wanted a getaway for cheap, and this was perfect. Definitely something we want to do once a year, maybe twice a year.
