We rented the house for a family gathering and it was perfect for us. The house is large with two master suites, two additional large bedrooms, two beds in a loft and four bathrooms. There are two sitting areas (a living room with a fireplace and another spacious area with a large modular sofa and TV) and a good dining area. Several members of our party found the sofa superior for napping. The property is well maintained, but not so fancy as to be intimidating. Some of the cookware was quite worn so consider bringing your own nonstick pan(s) if you have any concerns about damaged Teflon. There was plenty of seating space on the wrap around porch and the fire pit area was a pleasant bonus. We even had a morning fire with s'mores--not nutritious, but quite festive. The property was easy to find. It is located in a forested neighborhood area rather than an isolated setting. The neighborhood was very quiet and gave the sense of reasonable seclusion. The house was close to good hiking trails and shopping or restaurants in town. The owner was exceptionally responsive to the initial inquiry and seemed to genuinely care about our comfort. The owner's prompt communication made it possible for us to do this trip on relatively short notice after other VRBO owners either didn't respond or had incorrect availability information on the site. I would highly recommend this property for any multi-generational group that might benefit from extra space to stretch out and pursue different activities.
