Recent Patagonia Reviews

The property was comfortable and very clean.

We enjoyed four nights at this property. It was lovely and very well kept with many extras. We enjoyed walks and just watching the sunset. We loved Patagonia. I will recommend it to my friends.

Wonderful Hideaway

5 of 5
We spent 5 days at Mamies ... it was a most enjoyable time, and the house was ready upon our arrival, Jose came over and introduced himself to us, and offered any help we may need. It is very conveniently located in the town, and you can walk almost anywhere. We were there primarily for birding, and discovered we were a tad too early, even at Patons, down the road, no hummers at all. The only problem we had was with the DVD player, we couldn't get it to work, so no movies, but we played lots of games instead .. hopefully this has been fixed for the next tenants. We hope to return, and can't thank Jan enough for all her help, from a distance !

Kickback in Patagonia

5 of 5
We recently did our second stay at the Road Runner Retreat and it was even better than the first. The house is perched on the side of a hill looking out at the Patagonia Mountains to the south. You are within a short walk to the center of town, but you would never know it while enjoying the birds on the patio off the dining room. There was plenty of bird seed to keep them coming and we saw a couple of new species to add to our life lists. The place has all the comforts of home including some friendly neighbors. We did some wine tasting in Elgin and found a great new Italian restaurant (Viaggio Italiano) in Sonoita. Patagoinia has to be one of the friendliest towns I have ever visited. There is an eclectic mixture of folks from long time hispanic residents to retired hippies and artists. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, local color and history.
