Great location and place!

5 of 5
This was the perfect place to stay for the week! The location was great, near subways and easy go get a can or walk places. The price was also very good for both the place and the amenities (US phone line, rooftop hot tub, laundry, etc) and Dave was so incredibly helpful with any questions we had. We'd recommend it to anyone!

So many benefits!

5 of 5
My wife and I enjoyed a six-week stay in this comfortable, cozy apartment in a modern, well-situated, secure building in January and February 2015. We especially appreciated Mike’s prompt attention in responding to any concerns we had as we settled in. Watching sunsets with a glass of Malbec from the balcony quickly became the anchor-point in our daily rhythm as we contemplated dinner each evening. In our six weeks, we hardly had time to try even a small sample of the myriad excellent restaurants within a few minutes’ walk of the building. The electric juicer enabled fresh-squeezed orange juice to accompany breakfast on the balcony each morning. Nearby fruit stands are stocked with delicious oranges, peaches, and other healthy foods. The gym on floor 31 overlooking the city and offering views across the Rio Plata to Uruguay is a huge benefit of the building. The apartment’s shelves hold many books, including several useful travel guides to the city and to Argentina. Taxis were always plentiful, and the nearby Subte (Washington DC-style subway) station provided convenient access to other parts of the vast city of Buenos Aires. We recommend day-trips to Tigre and to Colonia, Uruguay. We will be back!

At Home in Recoleta

5 of 5
Tomorrow we will conclude our stay in this beautiful apartment. It is hard to find words to express how attached we feel to this city, this neighborhood, and to our host, Matthew. In the month we have been here, this friendly neighborhood has felt like home. Our stay began with a leisurely stroll through the surrounding streets with Matthew; he pointed out cafes, bakeries, restaurants and cleaners which have now become our favorites. Our initial visit with him concluded with lemonade and medialunas to refresh our travel-weary spirits. Since that time, he has attended to our every need -- from arranging rides to and from the airport for our arrival and the arrivals of family members, recommendations for sightseeing and dining, and, most importantly, the feeling that we had a friend in a city that was new to us. The apartment was wonderfully located; we walked to many areas of the city from here, and mass transportation is located just a few blocks away. This old building is beautiful, and served the needs of four adult travelers very well. It is located on a quiet corner in an architecturally stunning neighborhood. However, the most important part of any experience is the people; Matthew, with his kind and generous heart, was the perfect introduction to the life and culture of Buenos Aires. We are forever grateful for the time we were able to spend with him, for the amenities of this apartment, and for living the magical life of Buenos Aires for this month.
