Exceptional location with the tranquility of an oasis in the middle of the city

5 of 5
I traveled with wife and two young kids to visit family and we were looking for place with a great location that would allow us to have a nice and quiet breakfast, w/o the need to coordinate and rush altogether to a hotel lobby. We also looked to have downtime between sightseeing and dinner (anything before 9:00pm would be too early for local standards). The apartment worked perfectly...no issues whatsoever. The kids love their separate space upstairs and we enjoyed the privacy of the large master bedroom. The apartment is perfectly located and within 3 to 4 blocks we got the massive public transportation (bus and metro) the city offers. The owners had thought on every little detailed; from the American and Argentine phone lines, to multiple TVs, to a well stocked kitchen. The decoration of the place is nicely done and place was very clean. I noticed that some reviews comment on the fact that there is no laundry on the apartment; don't worry, literally across the street there is a laundry mat where we dropped our stuff on the morning and it was nicely cleaned and folded by the evening. The one thing that I'd like to see for next time (I'm definitely coming back) are blinds/curtains on the bedroom...I want to sleep in when on vacation.

Beautiful and cozy apartment in the best area of Buenos Aires.

5 of 5
My husband, my son and I stayed in this apartment for a month. We loved the French style of the apartment and the area, with everything Recoleta has to offer. The apartment is nicely and carefully decorated. It has lots of pluses: the view to the street (and still no street noise), the location, the very big and modern kitchen (which is different from the kitchens in most apartments in Buenos Aires), the size of the apartment, lots of natural light and, again, the beautiful French style. But the best thing of all is that Matt, the owner, is always trying to make your stay as good as possible: anything you need, he’s there to help. We originally had rented another apartment that had ended up being a scam. Matt saved us, letting us move to his apartment in the middle of the night! He worked with us in every possible way so that we could move the second we needed to. I was impressed with how helpful and caring he was. I really recommend this apartment. After having rented different places in Buenos Aires, over the years, now I know which one we will be coming back to.

Bliss Guaranteed

5 of 5
Staying at this marvelous, historic pied-a-terre was sheer bliss. Why? Location is key. Travelers look for safety, convenience, and a good night's sleep. On all three counts this rental was ideal. Recoleta offers historic sites, a street fair, and top-notch restaurants with cheap taxi service to other neighborhoods. The locked-gate entrance opens onto a series of elegant interior courtyards. But there's more. From the start Anne Elizabeth was on hand to make sure we'd be "so, so, so happy," as she'd promised in her e-mail. She made it all so easy: a driver to meet us at the airport, a tasty lunch with Argentine wine. Comfortable beds, the apartment's fabulous and fascinating decor, the well-stocked kitchen, the washer and drier -- all of this assured our comfort and well-being. Throughout our 8-day visit (June 2014), it was reassuring to have the owner in the same building. We cannot thank Anne Elizabeth enough for her kindness and generosity, her sense of fair play (no add-on fees), her attentive communications. On no count were we disappointed. Not one.
