Perfect get-away!

4 of 5
The reservations were no fuss, and Choy helped arrange a taxi pick up which was much appreciated! The apartment was clean and close to a little supermarket to stock up on essentials. The fabulous view is just as it is in the photo - and even better all lit up at night. In the morning, there were songbirds on the balcony and a wonderful breeze any time of day. Located about a ten minute walk to Pigeon Beach, one of the nicest spots on the island Also a short walk to Nelson Dockyards. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Some things you might want to do include: a bus ride into St. John's on a Saturday to check out the market; fish fry at the Dockyards on a Friday night; Catherine's restaurant/bar at Pigeon Beach. Things to avoid: the overly crowded Sunday dinner at Shirley Heights (but definitely go for the view/dinner another time); the over-priced breakfast down by the water/yacht club (but go for the ice coffee). You may want to pack earplugs if you are a light sleeper - I didn't have a problem but my husband had a few sleepless nights due to loud music. I would definitely recommend the property, though.

Great location

5 of 5
Having spent 10 weeks in Antigua at another villa, we spent our last 5 days in Blue Moon, and it was a wonderful way to end our visit. We rented the highest point villa, with a magnificent view of Galleon Beach and the ocean, with its boats and yachts. We especially enjoyed the sunsets, sipping cocktails on the terrace. We experienced the Jacuzzi our first night, and it was very enjoyable. The villa was especially quiet, except for some construction during the days, some noise from the beach where the sounds resonate in the enclosed bay, and Shirley Heights on Sunday afternoon. The layout of the Villa is very well thought out, with the only exception being for the small refrigerator in the kitchen, requiring use of the larger fridge located near the Jacuzzi and bbq. The master bed, sheeting and netting is very comfortable, especially when compared to some of our recent experiences in the Caribbean. Since we are accustomed to AC, we missed it mostly in mid to late afternoon, and sleeping at night, very hot and humid at times. The owners can be complimented for their kindness and attention provided during our stay. We have no hesitation in recommending these villas for a wonderful holiday experience.
