This was the epitome of luxury at its best. The view was breath taking. Our only regret was that our stay was too short. The entire staff was attentive and made sure we were extremely comfortable. The villa far exceeded our expectations. Having lived in different areas of the world we would rate the experience at the villa as one of our best vacations. Thanks Niccolo for making it possible.

                    Perfect honeymoon

                    5 of 5
We spent two weeks on our honeymoon at Gray Gate and couldn’t have wished for any better. Antigua was wonderful. The house and landscaping are beautiful, a testament to Colin and Violette. We met Violette briefly and she was very pleasant. We were fortunate to have Colin around from time to time. He was great to hang out with and talk about the house and the island. He’s a genuinely good person. We enjoyed most every morning cooking and eating breakfast on the outside porch while looking out at the ocean. The sunrise came right over a small island seen from the back porch. We thoroughly enjoyed everything on the island. Definitely pay attention to Stephen’s suggestions/information list. A rental car was a must. We were all over the island from day to day. The map you get from the rental place(we used Alamo) is really all you need. There are a few main roads that lead to everything if you pay attention to the signs. If you do need directions, everyone we talked to was extremely helpful. Shirley Heights was very fun on Sunday. The steel band played, followed by a local band. Food was great, views one of a kind. Devil’s bridge was very cool, very unique. Half moon bay also had that uniqueness with its shape and the fact that it had waves enough to body surf. It was our favorite beach of the dozen or so we visited. For beach entertainment we liked Dickenson a lot. Dave down at Sneaky Pete’s was able to get us set up for many different activities. The jungle zipline was really cool. The house was extremely relaxing and serene. We had no problems with anything in the house. We cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner almost every day and did laundry without issue. We stayed in the guest house and didn’t have a problem with mosquitoes inside at all. It stayed cool with the ceiling fan and breeze. The bed was very comfortable. We kept spray and mosquito coils going when hanging out on the back patio or in the main house and didn't get bit very often. We hope to be back very soon and will definitely stay at Gray Gate again. Stephen was very easy to deal with, upfront and honest about the house and what to expect. We would definitely recommend staying at Gray Gate.

Excellent Location, Stocked with Amenities and Details

                    5 of 5
We stayed at Janie's villa for Spring Break 2013- 4 adults and 3 children. Plenty of room and a bed for all (Janie provided a rollaway bed for our 3 year old). The villa had everything we needed - washer/dryer (with plenty of detergent), WiFi, fully equipped kitchen, Gas BBQ grill. All the beds had mosquito nets (a necessity in Antigua). Janie even provided us with a fifth of local Anitguan rum upon our arrival. The villa is part of a bigger complex, community, Jolly Harbour, which is nearly fully self contained, including a full supermarket, liquor store, pharmacy, restaurant/bar (the Crow's Nest - which also had a huge swimming pool). We visisted several beaches on the island but in our opinion the best one was the beach within Jolly Harbour (there are actually 2 beaches - North and South beach, but I can't remember which one it was - the one just past the Crows Nest). Also we were able to embark on two activities/excursions without even leaving Jolly Harbor megaplex- the Wadidli Cats circumnavigation cruise and a half-day deep sea fishing trip (caught a King Mackerel and prepared it in the villa). The villa is also far enough away from St. Johns so that it provided a good degree of privacy, and is also pretty close to the great southern beaches on the island and the Antiguan Rainforest Canopy Tour (ziplining) which we also did. This was a great value for our family and was a very comfotable and enjoyable and a great value for a family of seven. We will definitely seek to stay at Janie's villa if we make it back to Antigua.
