Excellent Location, Stocked with Amenities and Details

5 of 5
We stayed at Janie's villa for Spring Break 2013- 4 adults and 3 children. Plenty of room and a bed for all (Janie provided a rollaway bed for our 3 year old). The villa had everything we needed - washer/dryer (with plenty of detergent), WiFi, fully equipped kitchen, Gas BBQ grill. All the beds had mosquito nets (a necessity in Antigua). Janie even provided us with a fifth of local Anitguan rum upon our arrival. The villa is part of a bigger complex, community, Jolly Harbour, which is nearly fully self contained, including a full supermarket, liquor store, pharmacy, restaurant/bar (the Crow's Nest - which also had a huge swimming pool). We visisted several beaches on the island but in our opinion the best one was the beach within Jolly Harbour (there are actually 2 beaches - North and South beach, but I can't remember which one it was - the one just past the Crows Nest). Also we were able to embark on two activities/excursions without even leaving Jolly Harbor megaplex- the Wadidli Cats circumnavigation cruise and a half-day deep sea fishing trip (caught a King Mackerel and prepared it in the villa). The villa is also far enough away from St. Johns so that it provided a good degree of privacy, and is also pretty close to the great southern beaches on the island and the Antiguan Rainforest Canopy Tour (ziplining) which we also did. This was a great value for our family and was a very comfotable and enjoyable and a great value for a family of seven. We will definitely seek to stay at Janie's villa if we make it back to Antigua.
