Wonderful Vacation Home@!

5 of 5
Sorry for the delay in writing up this review, however better late than never! 12 of my clsest friends and myself traveled to the Moonraker at the end of July. Upon arrival the home was EXACTLY as described if not better. I guess one of the reasons I haven't written sooner is how many times can you say the house was Amazing??! I read all the previous reviews. The one aspect that I woud like to commend the owners on was the housekeeping staff. Georgia and Danielle were delightful and willing to help with anything we needed! As for the house it seems that much thought went into all the finishes and nothing was left to chance! I would absolutely recommend to anyone this home for a fabulous vacation. The views were spectacular! Working with the owner Paul was just a pleasure and the staff at Island Dreams were very accommodating. One interesting thing that happened to our group was a tropical storm hit the area our last night. The Management Company was on the phone with us first thing in the morning explaining that the ferry had shut down but not to worry they had been in contact with the owner and that we could stay safely in the home while we waited out the storm. That was just such a nice touch to us, to know that we weren't being kicked out to make our way. We did manage to make it out by flying to St. Maarteen and to our delight, rumbling up the road was Georgia and Danielle coming to say goodbye! I noticed several of us had tears in our eyes having been treated like family by these 2 dear woman. If we ever go back to Anguilla we all know where we will be staying!! Thank You again Paul for making our holiday a lovely one!!

Best vacation ever.

5 of 5
Absolutely beautiful home and perfect vacation! My husband and I stayed with 3 other couples. We had plenty of privacy, each bedroom was beautiful with an in-room bathroom, but we could all enjoy coffee by the pool each morning with amazing views. The most beautiful beaches were just a short drive away. We LOVED Blanchard's Beach Shack- delicious food, great beach chairs, perfect water. We walked down to the Viceroy (where we considered staying when we chose Anguilla) and are so glad we stayed at Nirvana! Their beach was so crowded, every chair was taken. We were a half mile down the beach and the only ones there for the first 2 hours (arrived at 9am). I was nervous booking a house online, but I am telling you, you will not be disappointed. This place is paradise and immaculate. The kitchen was fully stocked if you wanted to make meals in, but we just did breakfast there and had lunch/dinner out. Anguilla restaurants were great and we followed a lot of Paul's recommendations. Speaking of Paul...He couldn't be nicer and helped us plan our entire trip down to the last detail. We arrived to a home cooked meal, waters, wine, and a giant fruit platter. Totally unexpected but much appreciated. The housekeeper was lovely as well. We cannot say enough good things about this place! Go! You won't be disappointed. My only complaint is that we didn't stay long enough! We can't wait to go back!

Another perfect week

5 of 5
We were fortunate enough to return to the Castle this year. We were guests 2 years ago and last year I was not fast enough to book before our travel week was snatched up by some other lucky guests (wish colleges would post their break schedules years in advance). Staying elsewhere while on Anguilla made us appreciate the Castle (and Paul and Elise) all that much more. The Castle itself is everything a fussy, demanding traveler could ask for. Luxurious yet comfy and inviting. Casual enough to hang in your bathing suit all day but the lighting in the bathrooms is what you need to put on that perfect make up face. The Castle is as much OR as little as you want. Great home base to "do" the island OR the place you have to force yourself to leave. Very convenient location and personally, I like the fact that the neighbors are local Anguilla folk, always ready with a friendly wave and "how was the beach". As others have noted, the photos on VRBO do not do the Castle justice. Can't say you get what you see because it is so much better than the photos. As a frequent VRBO user (since its inception) it is refreshing to have Paul and Elise take care of everything. No nickel and dimeing, they have done all the calculations for you (tax, insurance, etc. etc.) It is a luxury these days to know exactly what you are getting (and can expect) upfront. Their expertise on things Anguilla and their hospitality are the added bonus. Eileen, the keeper of the Castle, has been with Paul and Elise from the beginning (that speaks volumes). Easy to see why. Nothing is too much for her (especially the pounds of sand that seem to accompany us home from the beach). We so enjoyed seeing her every day and she has great tips on how to enjoy the island. Not sure how Paul and Elise figured out how to improve upon perfection BUT the new hammocks are amazing. They are always looking for ways to improve their guests stay at the Castle. Well, not sure how they managed it but the boats down below were bigger and had more bling than in previous years. The rainbows were brighter, the weather was more perfect, the bugs were non-existent, the water more clear, the beaches more sandy and the turtles more plentiful. Quick foodie tips: RUN to AXA Seafood, truly one of the best on the island. Madeariman and Jacala are multiple visit musts. Veya and Barrel Stay, still worth every calorie. We returned home yesterday and will be checking 2015 school break dates tomorrow for our return.
