10 DAYS IN ALASKAN PARADISE

5 of 5
Great little well kept cabin, saw moose with her twins first drive into the cabin. was awesome!!! BBQ the fresh salmon we caught just outside Wasilla and spent the week eating salmon. The weather was over cast most of the time but never rained the temp was in the 60-70 range which was prefect for Arizonians coming from 110-115 weather. Our host were the best would definitely recommend this cabin .

NOT TOO FAR FROM AIRPORT BUT WITH SECLUDED FEEL!

4 of 5
A friend and I stayed in Mark's cabin for the weekend. We were visiting Faibanks in March hoping to see the Aurora. The cabin was very comfortable in terms of space, temperatue, and basic accomodations. Its perfect if you're looking for a more authentic/secluded cabin feel that isn't too far from the airport. Mark was also very helpful and friendly. Before we arrived he provided directions and other suggestions on getting from the airport to the cabin (i.e. - take the route past Safeway and stock up on some groceries). He even met us at the cabin when we arrived, despite the fact that we didn't get in until after midnight! All in all, the cabin met our needs perfectly. Plus, we had great aurora viewing while in Fairbanks so the trip was a great success!!!

SOLAR CABIN STAY

5 of 5
It was an interesting experience to "rough it" a bit and see how solar living can be sustainable! Composting toilet is weird, but usuable...missed the sink more than running water. Glad for the chance to try it and also be out of town a bit...moose tracks appeared in the driveway, but we didn't see the moose. Cabin had all the comforts, but the stairs to upper level was a bit challenging for seniors!Host was very helpful in managing stay and also gave tips on what to see and do... Museum of the North was amazing, esp. the architecture. Thanks!
