Incredible, beautiful lodge with amazing staff!

5 of 5
The lodge compound is gorgeous! Each room is its own separate building connected by walkways to the main lodge. The rooms were well appointed & spacious each with a small deck attached for sitting outdoors. The lodge has a living room space that is decorated very tastefully in a Safari theme. The restaurant /bar space feature sweeping views out to Lake Manyara. The pool deck & pool are next to a cabana bar & have the best seating for wildlife viewing. An outdoor fire pit and the HUGE Baobab tree, which the entire space is build around are the crowning touches of this retreat space. The staff is incredibly responsive and friendly, Abdul, the owner is a warm and wonderful man. This place is a gem! I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Tanzania. The lodge offers Safari guides and has a fleet of vehicles to accommodate any sized group. Nearby Mto Wa Mbu, a small homey town has a great vibe, great markets and wonderful projects like Majengo Children's Home (Majengo-US.com) for volunteering during your visit. We will stay here each time we return to Tanzania.

Not much room for improvement as it is close to perfect. Consider a permanent ramp for wheelchair access
