Best Park City Restaurants
Five Local Favorite Places to Eat in Park City
Year round, Park City, Utah is one of the top resort towns in the world. Park City is enveloped in breathtaking landscapes, from its snow covered peaks, to lush forestry, to the cityscape, a charming and well-appointed downtown of the west. The colder months bring with it visitors from nationwide to enjoy what the area is most well loved for: skiing. Park City also attracts a worldwide audience, and more than a few familiar faces, when it hosts the annual Sundance Film Festival.
Whether the natural beauty, the arts, culture, or sports have inspired you to get away to Park City, don't forget that the city is home to some of the best restaurants and chefs in the world, too. From romantic and luxurious to footloose and family-friendly, there's a new favorite dining experience waiting for you in Park City. Take a sneak peak at these top restaurants in the area.
1. The Seafood Buffet at Deer Valley
Open only during the winter ski season, The Seafood Buffet at Deer Valley is one more reason locals and visitors look forward to December. Dubbed one of America's top restaurants by Zagat, the menu features a variety of hot, cold, and even non-seafood options, including a "Natural Buffet" which changes nightly. Go for the seafood, and enjoy Yellowfin tuna with wasabi sake cream, house smoked salmon, and freshly shucked oysters.
2. Viking Yurt
One of the most unique dining experiences you'll ever have will take place in Park City's Viking Dining Yurt. After joining around 30 other diners for a sleigh ride up the mountain, you'll experience delicious cuisine at an elevation of 8,000 feet. The yurt may be covered in a blanket of snow, but inside the atmosphere is warm and extremely romantic, thanks in part to the candles and the live tinklings from a Baby Grand. The menu is, appropriately enough, filled with stylish Scandinavian offerings.
3. Prime Steakhouse
If all you want to enjoy is some fantastic beef, look no further than Prime Steakhouse. Aptly named, Zagat complimented it heartily when it said Prime had some of the best steaks in Park City, Utah. A stylish eatery, which also happens to have a less formal piano bar, Prime has an extensive selection of wines and a mouthwatering menu of carnivorous delights. Partake of Prime's signature filet with crabmeat and Bearnaise sauce for a died-and-gone-to-heaven experience.
4. El Chubasco
For truly delicious Mexican cuisine served up quick in grandes portions, a lunch or dinner at El Chubasco is a must. Fancy-free and suitable for just about everyone, the popular El Chubasco has a brightly colored salsa bar featuring 16 salsas all made in house, from scratch. Sample more than a few, but leave room for their delectable and familiar authentic Mexican fare, like fish tacos and carne asada burritos, assembled with handmade tortillas.
5. Blind Dog Grill
This stylish restaurant has an extensive surf and turf menu; if its fish, it was flown in. The beef is hand cut, and everything that could be is made from scratch. The lighting and décor make for fine dining ambience, while the menu item names ("Bad Ass Bake" anyone?) keep things from being too stuffy. Their selection is extensive and includes a wide variety of sushi. During nice weather, the patio can accommodate visitors.
