We love our Facebook and Pinterest followers, and they have shown us the love by sharing some of our destination pages and photos with their friends. So where are they planning to go? (Or dreaming about going!) Some favorite destinations rose to the top when we looked at the numbers.

Beachy Keen

It's not really a surprise the the biggest chunk of destinations fall in the "beach" category. A beach vacation is just about everyone's idea of a perfect vacation. Florida, with all its beautiful beach options rose to the top as the favorite for both Facebook and Pinterest users, showcasing Rosemary Beach and Fort Myers Beach at the top of the list. In central Florida, Trafalgar Village, in the Kissimmee area, near Disney World is a popular spot among Facebookers, so check it out the next time you're planning an Orlando trip.

Kid-Friendly Places

We see those family travel favorites: La Jolla, CA, Gatlinburg, TN, and Myrtle Beach, SC on the list, but we're a little puzzled by the popularity of Smithville, TX. Must be its riverfront setting and proximity to Austin - perfect for a weekend getaway.
