BlizzCon in Anaheim
A Blizzard of Entertainment
BlizzCon 2011 is guaranteed to take gaming to the next level. Once touted at 'Dork Fest,' today, the two day long event, held in beautiful Anaheim, California, is a celebration of gaming, players, and everything they love. From Warcraft to Diablo and everything in between, Blizzard Entertainment has put together a jam-packed convention that will blow your mind.
Like Minded People, Like Minded Fun
The convention is one of the biggest gaming conventions held each year. It joins together those who love the Blizzard world and their games. Meet your Warcraft team in person, or spend the day comparing Diablo strategies with fellow enthusiasts while meeting the very people who dream up, design and create the worlds you love to play in. Food, fun, memorabilia, and more – all dreamed up for game lovers by game creators.
Anaheim, A Gamers Paradise
While BlizzCon takes over the Anaheim Convention Center, gamers take over the city. With thousands of gamers storming the figurative gates, there are plenty of activities to participate in outside of the convention itself. Consider holding a live game session with your virtual friends in your vacation rental home in Anaheim, or visit the dinning district to engage in a restaurant crawl with your buddies. Don't forget to stop at Pickles for Indian food and Hatam for Middle Eastern. If American food is more your style, make a stop at Napa Rose at Grand Californian. For those looking to join gaming with adventure, don't forget Disneyland is right around the corner.
A Blizzard of Fun
This year, the convention is Friday, October 21 through Saturday, October 22. Event planners have provided visitors with all access passes to their favorite games. Real time, hands-on playing of the latest games and version, thrilling discussion with developers, and tournaments at both the casual and professional level are just a few of the exciting events. Don't forget to check out the merchandise available for sale and to register for one of the many planned contests. There are a few rules to remember: you must be at least five years old to enter. Those under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. No laptops, storage devices, weapons with edges, projectile weapons, alcohol, or fireworks are allowed inside. You can wear a costume (and should) as long as it does not include prohibited items.
A day at the convention is a day of fun and friends. Retire back to your vacation rental home to hang out between the fun on vacation in Anaheim. BlizzCon is a must for anyone who loves Warcraft, Diablo or any other popular Blizzard Entertainment game.
