The Palm Springs International Film Festival is an annual gathering of emerging talent in the film industry as well as a chance for movie fans to spot celebrities and see new films and shorts early. Held annually in January since 1989, this festival showcases new talent from around the world along with works from established actors and directors. Celebrities and members of the general public all attend this event and have the chance to see nearly 200 movies throughout the event.
The 2012 Palm Springs International Film Festival will be held from January 5th to 16th at the Palm Springs Convention Center and will show movies from over 60 different countries. Tickets for the public will go on sale in late December and start at $10 for matinée showings with group and student discounts available.

- Allow yourself plenty of time between movies to allow for travel time.
