America's Best Corn Mazes

Get Lost On a Fall Vacation

Mazes are thousands of years old, but mazes with cornstalk walls are a recent phenomenon in America. Corn mazes have steadily grown in popularity since the 1970’s; just like popcorn at the movie theater, corn mazes have mass appeal. But they’re a lot more enchanting and fun than chomping down a large popcorn at the movies.

From above, America’s best corn mazes are intricate works of art, but from below, they’re intricate labyrinths that are bound to get you worked up. All is well that ends well though, and after navigating a maze’s twists and turns, and confronting dead end after dead end, you’ll have an appropriately corny smile on your face when you make it to the finish line. Bring your kids, bring that special someone, or just bring yourself, to one of these incredible mazes of maize and prepare for agriculture entertainment, better known as agritainment!

Cherry Crest Farm

Ronks, Pennsylvania is home to the “Amazing Maize Maze,” the pioneer of corn mazes. Year-round, Cherry Crest is a humble dairy farm, but when the weather’s perfect for corn growing, it’s also perfect for family fun. Cherry Crest Farm turns into a popular fall destination for people of all ages October 2nd through November 8th. Each year, the five-acre Amazing Maize Maze changes – a bird’s eye view could reveal a horse and buggy, Old McDonald’s Farm, or the fantastical Land of Oz. Find out what this year’s theme is, and take the famed “Corn Maze Challenge.” Don’t worry; you’ll have clues and Maze Masters to help you get through it! Stay in a nearby Hershey vacation rental for the most convenience. There’s plenty to see, do, and eat outside the maze as well, so your fall vacation will be fun and eventful for the whole family.

Sever's Corn Maze

If you’re looking for a real challenge, head over to Shakopee, Minnesota’s Corn Maze and Fall Festival. From maze patterns of a world map to the Titanic to the Egyptian Sphinx, the designers don’t fool around at Sever’s. This year’s maze promises to be just as complex! Live music, prizes, an easygoing straw bale maze for the youngest members in the group, the unique “Corn Pit” (you’ll have to see it to believe it), a giant slide, the pumpkin slinger (another see-it-to-believe-it attraction), and exotic wildlife, all cap off a great autumn getaway.  Sever’s Corn Maze is open September 20th through November 2nd. Find a Minneapolis house rental nearby big enough for the entire family.
