Watch World Cup Matches at the Arena Fonte Nova


Salvador is one of 12 cities hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup and because of this, a new stadium was built with a capacity of 52,048. This new stadium will host six games and was constructed on the site of Fonte Nova.

The stadium's official name is Estadio Octavio Mangabeira, the original Fonta Nova was opened in 1951 and closed in 2007. The new Arena Fonta Nova was modelled in the original building and is covered with a lightweight, metal roof that houses a panoramic restaurant, a football museum and more.

While in Salvador, you can catch four group matches during the World Cup, three of which will feature top-seeded teams, in addition to a Round of 16 match and a quarter-final tie.
