Brasilia, a modern city officially founded in 1960 (and the capital city of Brazil,) will serve as a host city for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
This Brazilian city features wide avenues surrounded by avant-garde architecture like the Metropolitan Cathedral of Brasilia and the Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge designed by Oscar Niemeyer.
Brasilia was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO because it's the only city to have been fully constructed in the 20th century.
