Tour the HomeAway World Headquarters
The HomeAway World Headquarters is located in downtown Austin, Texas. Employees love the proximity to restaurants, bars and retail — especially to the unofficial company cafeteria, the Whole Foods Market flagship store. The office space is also situated off of Lady Bird Lake, which has a fantastic hike and bike trail.
HomeAway's four-story, 86,000-square-foot, mixed-use building was awarded Gold-level LEED certification in April 2010 for its use of eco-friendly materials. The design is vacation-themed and features a giant replica of the birdhouse from the HomeAway logo. Here are just a few of the other highlights of our unique workspace:
The Birdhouse
Perched above the corner of Fifth St. and Lamar Blvd., this two-story structure is an exact replica of the HomeAway logo. Be on the look out- we love to decorate it during the holidays!
The Lobby
Postcards from destinations far and wide line the walls around the elevators and make up an art piece created by HomeAway CEO Brian Sharples, giving the lobby a unique look that epitomizes travel. Oh and that's Kelly, our friendly receptionist.

The Roof Top Deck
More than just a place to get some fresh air, the HomeAway Rooftop Deck provides employees and guests a unique perspective of the Austin skyline. The deck comes complete with a top-of-the-line grill for summer fun and a fireplace for the rare cold nights.
The Office
Boardwalk
This Nantucket-themed game room lets employees take a break and unwind. The "Boardwalk" includes a ping pong table, dart board, foosball table and video games!
Everest
With a name like "Everest," you know serious business happens here. Highlights of our executive boardroom include a birdhouse chandelier and artwork created by CEO Brian Sharples.
The Snow Globe Collection
What began as a pipe dream to build the world's largest snow globe collection became a goodwill effort that connected the 10 (at the time) HomeAway offices around the world. Each of the more than 500 unique snow globes that decorate the office halls represents a $50 donation to a deserving charity.
The Kitchen Table
The original sites HomeAway acquired were scrappy, highly-successful start-ups, literally run from the founders' kitchen tables. Today the HomeAway "kitchen table" pays homage to that entrepreneurial spirit we were founded upon and hosts Friday "Table Talks."
