HomeAway Helps

With 17 offices in eight countries around the world, HomeAway wants to do more for its local communities than just take up space. Just as our mission is to revolutionize the vacation rental industry and make an impact on the way people travel, we also want to impact the communities that support us and help organizations that inspire change in their own right.

The company’s corporate giving program empowers employees to determine which charitable organizations will receive monetary donations. In 2011, HomeAway gave $175,000+ to more than 60 non-profit organizations in the US alone. We also select one organization to be the company's major corporate philanthropy partner each year. As a result, we've made a commitment to Austin Habitat for Humanity and have worked with them in a variety of capacities from fundraising to participating in builds, since launching our corporate giving program in 2010.

Also, at HomeAway we feel that while it’s helpful to write a check, its even more rewarding to get your hands dirty to support a cause. As a result, we encourage volunteerism and each full-time employee is given two days of paid time off to volunteer. One day is designed to give them the opportunity to work on a HomeAway project and the other is to be used volunteering with an organization of their choice.
