Q: How do I know the home pictured and described in the listing is what I will experience when I arrive at my destination?
A: The HomeAway team is committed to providing travelers with the safest and most trusted online marketplace for finding and booking vacation rentals.  While we do not have a verification system, we developed the following processes and services to ensure travelers have a great vacation rental experience:

  • The customer support team makes up more than one third of our worldwide team and they review each ad for unusual content prior to the property listing going live on the site.

  • HomeAway investigates any listings that receive complaints or poor reviews and removes ads that do not comply with practices in the best interest of travelers or go against company policy.
  •  
  • All of the HomeAway U.S. sites, including HomeAway.com, VRBO.com and VacationRentals.com, and many of our global affiliate sites, feature traveler reviews that enable vacationers who have rented a HomeAway property to rate the accuracy of its corresponding listing using a five-star system.  The results and accompanying comments are then displayed on the property page.
