Andrew Harris, Chief Operating Officer

Harris joined HomeAway in October 2005 and is responsible for the company's day-to-day operations. Previously, Harris co-founded and served as chief executive officer of Handtech, Inc., an Internet-based company providing e-commerce sites and back-office infrastructure to more than 15,000 technology consultants and value-added resellers.

Harris also served as president of Dell Computer International, launching the company’s first overseas venture and then building the international business into a multi-billion dollar, 100-country operation. He was also responsible for all aspects of marketing at the company.

Earlier in his career, Harris was European marketing manager for Entre Computer Centers (Europe), and served as financial controller and deputy managing director for Currys Microsystems. He is a qualified accountant (U.K.) and graduated with honors from Coventry University in England with a bachelor's degree in business.
