The mountain is snowboard friendly and has one of the largest free-riding tubes in the U.S. Night tubing under the stars on Preview Run should not to be missed!

Steamboat is an angler's paradise. With the Yampa River running through Steamboat's downtown corridor, the Elk River only 30-minutes to the north, and the Bear and Colorado Rivers to the south, fishing opportunities exist almost everywhere you look. The rivers also give visitors a chance to test their fortitude on some of the rapids or to enjoy a lazy, scenic float down a calmer portion.

Those with a penchant for golf will want to play the Haymaker Golf Course. This meandering course in the valley reminds one of a Scottish links course and uses the naturally mountainous terrain as a hazard. The Sheraton Golf Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and offers spectacular views of Fish Creek Canyon and Mt. Werner.

Another popular activity is the Alpine Slide, a flume ride that descends 2400 feet from the top of the mountain. Take a gondola ride up the mountain, soak in the incredible view, and then hop in the "Howler" for a controlled free fall down the mountain!

Steamboat Springs is a fun-filled vacation destination for the entire family. Adults can pamper themselves in one of the day-spas that beckon weary muscles. The kids will love the waterslide at the Steamboat Health and Recreation Center. Hop in a helicopter and get an aerial view of the surroundings. Rent an inner tube and float down a river in the sun.
