Spacious and convenient,
San Diego weddings require a California marriage license. To apply for a license in San Diego County, both the bride and groom must apply in person at any of the San Diego County Clerk's five local offices and show photo IDs listing full legal names and birth dates. Both parties must be at least 18 years of age. Blood tests are not required. If either party has been granted a divorce within 90 days of applying for a new marriage license, a copy of the final divorce decree is required. The marriage license fee in San Diego County is $50 and the license is valid for 90 days.
San Diego weddings can be performed by clergy members or judges, or the Deputy Marriage Commissioner in the County Clerk's office can perform a civil ceremony for an additional fee of about $50. For more information, contact the San Diego County Clerk's office at 619-531-6248.
