A California Marriage License, issued by the Riverside County Clerk, is required for Palm Springs weddings. The parties must appear together at the county clerk's office to apply for the license and show photo ID. If either the bride or groom has been divorced, a copy of the final divorce decree must be submitted. A court order is required for the marriage of persons under 18 years of age. The fee for a marriage license is $68 and the license is valid immediately.

Marriage licenses can be obtained at the Riverside County Clerk offices at 4080 Lemon St., 1st Floor, in Riverside; at 2724 Gateway Dr. in Riverside (951-486-7000); or at 82675 Highway 111, Room 113, in Indio (760-863-8732). The office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday.
