Please note: we only allow pets in the off-season, not in July or August. When active, the pets clause is available in the lease for the addition of $100 to the base rent. This lovely Cape Cod house is 6/10ths of a mile from Chatham's Pleasant St. and Forest St. beaches (see photos). It's also equipped with everything you'll need for a comfortable and memorable vacation. The sun room opens up to the ground-level deck where you'll find gas & charcoal grills, picnic table, and hammock, along with an outside shower. Inside you’ll find a new bathtub/shower, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, and Cable with 2 DVD/VCR's. We rarely need AC here but do have one window unit for you if it gets hot and a total of 5 fans for custom positioning. The full basement has ping-pong and games for the kids too. The master bedroom has a queen, the 2nd bedroom has 2 twins, and the sun room converts into a 3rd bedroom with Queen Futon.

3 miles from downtown Chatham, which is halfway down Cape Cod and centrally located on the peninsula. The town is surrounded on three sides by ocean- Pleasant Bay on the north, the open Atlantic to the east, and Nantucket Sound to the south. The house is walking distance to Nantucket Sound, which is 10 degrees warmer than the Atlantic, has smaller waves, is great for sailing/windsurfing, and is generally the body of water chosen by families with children. It's just 2 miles from the ferry to Nantucket, also, for a great day trip.

    We rent 123 Melody Lane all the year round for weekends and holidays too. Though arrivals and departure times are locked in during the peak season we can be more flexible in the off-season for more customized stays.
  • Minimum 1-week rental in-season. Minimum $450 for any period in the off-season but will do weekends.

Cute / Clean/ private. We've owned the house since 1998 and have continued the strong rental history with the repeat tenants going back to the previous owner. It was built in 1960 and has 1200 square feet with a full basement. The cottage is cute, clean and situated in a private, rural, family-oriented neighborhood off Pleasant Street Beach. Please note: All smoke and carbon monoxide detectors have been installed and inspected according to the latest regulations. We take great pride in constantly improving the house and it's amenities every year.
