Lake Minong (Minong Flowage) is a highly desirable lake in Northwestern Wisconsin. It is 1564 acres in size and is similar to the Canadian Wilderness. There are numerous islands with little bays to explore. The shoreline is heavily wooded with pines and hardwoods, and the lake provides abundant walleye, northern, bass and panfish. It is considered a sportsman's and recreational lake with good quality lake water. Swimming is great at Sand Island, the park public beach, or just off the dock.
This area also includes miles and miles of ATV and snowmobiling trails and is quite heavily forested.
If you need any supplies there is a great General Store located within 3 miles of the Lake Home. This store provides groceries, wine and beer, DVD rentals, fishing licenses and bait, gas, propane, and a full selection of hardware tools and supplies. Specialty coffee drinks available as well.
The Lake Home is located only 25 miles west of the quaint town of Hayward, Wisconsin with a wide selection of shops and restaurants.

Ski:
Superb cross country skiing abounds in this part of Wisconsin. The trails are endless and you will experience some of the very best cross country skiing possible.
Downhill skiing is available within 45 minutes at Spirit Mountain Ski Resort in Duluth, Minnesota.
Golf:
Great 18 hole golfing is only 5 minutes from the lake home at the Great Bear Golf Course. With a short drive to Hayward there are almost endless golfing possibilities in what is called 'Wisconsin's golf capital.'
