Cape Charles Vacation Rental'Twins at Bay' Beach & Quiet...Four blocks to beach. Nicer than home!

How did you end up here?: In 1985-86 I spent two years at Old Dominion University before I transferred back to LaSalle in Pennsylvania. So, I was no stranger to Route 13, including driving back to PA in Hurricane Gloria (it missed Norfolk and followed us up the coast). In the early 90's my then girlfriend, now wife and mother of our twins began an annual pilgrimage to the Outer Banks. First Hatteras, then Ocracoke often for ten days at a time. Why? Peace and quiet, less crowded beaches and the ability to rent a house for what a studio would cost up North. Twenty years up and down Route 13 until two years ago, we stopped in Cape Charles. Don't get me wrong, we loved our time in OBX. But all those years we drove right by. I know, it's tough, we're all just trying to get there. Well, we found another there!

'Twins at Bay': It's tough to put a name on something you're so proud of and excited about; other's might think it's corny. We wrestled with a lot of names, but we settled on 'Twins at Bay'. It was simple after we chose the name. We did this for our six month old twins that were on the way! We wanted them to have great childhood memories with Mom and Dad, at a special place. We also wanted to remember family and do something we knew our late and beloved Stephanie would enjoy; spend more time by the water and the beach. Something she wasn't able to do for a long time. Now, she'll have a guest room named after her, 'Steph's Guests'. She'll be with us all at the Sea, but especially Charlotte Marie and Graciene Stephanie.
