Homeowner managed.: This house is managed and rented by the homeowner, not a rental agency. All communication is direct with the homeowner. Each spring the house is scrubbed. All furniture is moved and bedding and curtains are aired or laundered as appropriate. We check on the house between renters each Saturday for the benefit of the renter leaving and the guest arriving. Yes, we really drive up to RI every week. You will notice the many personal touches throughout our home. Our home is Not appropriate for Large Gatherings such as Family Reunions, hosting celebrations or for groups of singles; Our Rental Agreement Prohibits such use.

Other places to explore and beach info: Wickford Village: Approx 20 minutes away is a quaint town with marina, shops and restaurants. Watch Hill: Approx 30 minutes away has a antique carousel, shops and restaurants. Roger Williams Zoo. Bristol/Tiverton/Little Compton: Lots of shops, restaurants and visit Sakonnet Vineyards/Winery along the way. Scarborough is a state operated beach with rolling surf, bath house and concession stand. The beach is sandy (not rocky) with covered pavilions and some picnic tables. The beach is a short walk from the house and you can see a glimpse of the ocean from the front porch of the house. Some nights if the surf is strong, you can hear the waves from the bedrooms.

International Renter And Long Distance Info.: This is a self housekeeping unit. Most of our renters live locally and bring their own linens and towels. These can be provided for international or long distance renters but a laundering fee applies. If you prefer not to self clean at departure, a cleaning service can be hired. Please inquire. You will make up your own beds upon arrival and remove linens at departure. A few beach items can also be arranged for your use for people flying into the area. Payment: Payment by bank check in US $ Or For ease of currency conversion, international renters can pay with credit card through PayPal. A service fee of 4% applies to cover fees and cross border fees PayPal charges us. Your security deposit will be refunded through PayPal as well. Paypal option for international renters only.

Guest Book: This was our first visit to Rhode Island & our first stay at the 'Lucky Break'. I must say both were a complete success! This home had everything my family & their friends could ask for. It is spacious, clean and very comfortable. In one short week my family & I beached (a mere one block walk from the house), biked (so much to see so little time), shopped (even in the fog Newport was fantastic & took only 30 minutes to get there), sailed (who knew the Block Island Ferry was so close) and feasted (yep, a lobster dinner cooked right at the 'Lucky Break' & enjoyed on the comfortable back deck on a beautiful summer evening!)
