Narragansett has a variety of activities and places to visit while you are on vacation. There are 3 State beaches and one town beach. Access to some of the best coastal fishing in all of New England. Point Judith offers all types of fishing charters as well a great boat ramp to launch your own craft. Day trips could include Block Island, Newport, Wickford and even Providence. Some summer activities include Quonsett Air Show, 4th of July Fireworks, Wickford Art Festival, Narragansett Art Festival, RI Philharmonic Beach Concert, Summer Concert Series, Newport Jazz Festival, harbor cruises, whale watching, kayaking, bike path, golfing, mini-golf, driving range, movie theaters, go karts, Ben & Jerry's Folk Festival, surfing, Block Island Concert Series, Providence Water Fires, museums, Narragansett Seafood Festival and 10K Race, summer carnivals, etc
Dining, Shopping:
Narragansett has a great selection of restaurants through out town. All are causal and are inexpensive to moderate in price. Some of the favorites include Turtle Soup, Charlie O's, Casey's, Pancho O'Malley's, Artoro Joe's, Kingston Pizza, Calvitto's, Hansen's Landing, Aunt Carries, Iggy's, George's of Galilee and Champlain's. Fresh fish, clams and lobsters are available at the many seafood markets or the docks in Point Judith. A wide variety of shopping is very convenient to Eastwinds; Shaw's, Stop & Shop, Town Meats on Main, Roch's, liquors stores (open Sundays), Blockbuster Video, Marshall's, Zero Wampum (gifts), etc.
Golf:
There are many golf courses within 30 minutes of Narragansett. Richmond CC, Exeter CC, Laurel LanesCC, North Kingstown CC, Fenner Hill CC, Foxwoods Golf and CC, Jamestown CC(9) and Woodland Green CC(9).
