Panoramic Ocean Views-Top Floor : A wall of windows overlook panoramic ocean views. Shooting Star's view is over a natural sand dune. Ride your bike to a bistro / martini bar, just two blocks away, or create your own meals in the gourmet kitchen complete with wine frig! Restaurants, movies, grocery stores, souvenir shopping, and amusements are close by. Avoid the traffic; Shooting Star is located just 3 miles from the bridge to the mainland. You'll find excellent surf and deep-sea fishing here. The warm water of the gulf stream is just offshore. Shooting Star is professionally decorated featuring a cathedral ceiling with a reverse floor plan in living areas -- great room, dining room, gourmet kitchen, ship's watch loft-den with telescope and computer access on top floor maximizes dolphin views. King master suite with a private deck on this level. Hot tub deck leads to spiral staircase connecting you to roof top sun deck
Sleeping Quarters: This entire floor is decorated in a peachy-plum/pink and teal motif. The middle floor has a king master suite decorated in a whimsical fish/seashell motif, and a kids' suite (sleeps six children) with video equipment and toys for all ages. The 'grandparents' room' is decorated in a seashore motif, and has a queen size bed. There are TVs in all bedrooms and the great room -- some with DVD players. Special features include four sun decks, hot tub deck, rooftop deck reached by a spiral staircase, an enclosed outside shower, screened porch, spacious kitchen, gas fireplace (off season), fish-cleaning station, hammocks/swings, and a ships' watch (den) with telescope. This truly distinctive lodging offers premium bedding. Color-coordinated bedspreads, pillows, and blankets are provided; sheets and towels are delivered to your cottage (no charge in summer season), or you can bring your own. Start up groceries can be delivered too! (This service is also optional.)
Area Attractions & Gourmet Kitchen: The spacious kitchen includes a wine frig, cappuchino machine, coffee grinder, spices, a microwave, ice cream maker, and a gas grill on the deck -- just off the kitchen. A bread maker, professional blender, lobster/crab pot and waffle iron make mealtime fun. Rice cooker and vegetable steamer, too. Clean up the kitchen with a state-of-the-art dishwasher -- including a plate warmer. The home is fully air-conditioned, and has seven ceiling fans for your enjoyment. Beach and baby equipment are provided. Enjoy free local phone calls and wireless broadband Internet access. All utilities and end-of-vacation cleaning are included. There are no hidden fees. The home is near seven public golf courses -- some with views of ocean, all within a 15 minute drive. Miniature golf is nearby, as is fine and family dining. And there are plenty of unique and outlet shopping opportunities close by. For those truly adventurous vacationers a double ocean kayak is included.
