Description of the Crooked Lake (Clare County) vacation house rental
This comfortable lakefront home boasts 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a finished basement, wood stove and fireplace. Kitchen remodeled in 2004 and fully equipped. Both family and finished basement are equipped with TV and DVD. Home has water softener and Air Conditioning.
Outdoors, the home has a deck and a screened in porch. Seating for 8 in and 8 out. Double lot leads down to 13 steps to sandy beach with 120 feet of frontage. Dock is able to accommodate two boats and public launch is available. Perch Lake has excellent fishing, boating and swimming. An 18 foot Sea Ray is available to rent if you wish. A paddle boat and water/beach toys will be at your disposal. A fire pit is located by the beach. A public park is located one block away which has tennis courts and baseball.
Small family run ice cream shop is within walking distance as is general store.
Location
Perch Lake is a quiet all sports lake. Home has 120ft of lake frontage with gorgeous sandy beach. Boat launch and dock available. Paddle boat and water/beach toys available for the kids! Fire pit on the beach. Home is located near a park complete with tennis court and baseball. This Perch Lake Home is located near Clare and Mt. Pleasant. Clare boasts quaint Downtown are with shops, a bakery and ice cream shoppes. A old-time theatre hosts first-run films and $1 popcorn. Clare has a thriving Amish Community and you are guaranteed to see buggies in town. An Amish general store and bakery are located close by. Local pizzeria hosts a pizza buffet to die for! Mt. Pleasant is 20 min away and home to Central Michigan University and Soaring Eagle Casino. Mt. Pleasant is home to several public golf courses. You will be able to keep busy every week visiting the various county fairs and community festivals during the summer.

Spend the day: Wake up early and enjoy the quiet, perhaps head out to the dock to fish or just watch for the loons. Have a coffee out on the deck gazing at the lake. Go for a walk in the woods across the street, hoping to get a glance at the deer or bobcat in the area. For lunch light up the grill or head into town for the pizza buffet. Go for a swim in the afternoon enjoying the sun. Head out in the paddle boat and explore the lake. Dinner is at Big Al's just a block or two away, great steaks and seafood. Have a fire in the fire pit and roast some s'mores.
