Boyne Valley boasts the most beautiful fall colors in Northern Michigan. Bright yellows, rich reds, deep golds against the back drop of many shades of evergreen and dark blue skies. Peak colors late September to Mid October.
White Winter Wonderland:
Snow, snow and more snow coats the hills and valleys of this winter wonderland. Ski the many mountains or go cross country on the vast number of trails available throughout the area. Snow shoeing is so very popular and will test your endurance. Ice skate at Avalanche Park in Boyne City. Take a snow break and hit the indoor waterpark and arcade at Boyne Mountain. Buzz up to Petoskey and let the kids play miniature golf indoors. Winter is a fun time in Boyne!
Spring Sprouts.:
May is Morel mushrooming time. $32.00/pound. Delicious! Join us at the Festival and the TASTE OF BOYNE. Features many fine restaurants and their favorite recipes for the sought after and elusive morel. While you enjoy the tempting treats the kids can have a ball at the large carnival featured for four days during the festival. This carnival has been brought to you by the Boyne Valley Lions' Club and is known throughout Northern Michigan as one of the BEST. Proceeds go help local charities.
Ski:
Boyne Mountain. If we do not have enough snow, Boyne Mountain makes it! For the best skiing in Northern Michigan you are but a 5 minute drive away.
Golf:
Deer Lake is centrally located to dozens of wonderful golf courses (starting at 2 minutes away). There are just too many to list. Our golfing guests love to home base on Deer Lake. In the evening they can watch the sunset and enjoy their 'happy hour' on the deck overlooking the lake and perhaps see a deer or two quenching their thirst.
