Beautiful 1800 sq. ft. updated home directly across the street from Torch Lake with awesome water views. The sunsets are breathtaking! Just steps away from public beaches, the boat launch, the historic Alden Train Depot museum, and all downtown Alden amenities (shopping, dining, and more!) Remodeled extensively in 2006, the house features a modern cottage-style decor that will make you feel right at home. All newer appliances, fully-equipped kitchen, full-size washer and dryer. Gas fireplace in family room for cooler nights. Large lawn for family gatherings and fire pit for roasting marshmallows! Fenced-in children's play area on property. Central air, ceiling fans, cable TV. 10 min. away from Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain resort (golf, skiing). 2 blocks from Coy Mtn. Preserve hiking trail. 30 min. from Traverse City, 40 min. from Charlevoix & Boyne. Also convenient for hunting and snowmobiling enthusiasts!

The village of Alden sits on the southeastern shore of Torch Lake, which has been named the 3rd most beautiful lake in the world by National Geographic. The clean, clear Caribbean-blue water makes this lake a paradise for all water sports, boating, swimming and fishing! It is part of the Antrim County Chain of Lakes, which includes Elk Lake, Lake Skegemog, Torch Lake, Clam Lake and Lake Bellaire. Alden offers something for everyone - quaint shops, a variety of restaurants, a museum, a large children's park, tennis courts, an ice cream shop, and hiking are all within blocks of this home. Every year the town hosts a 4th of July parade and fireworks, arts and crafts events, a classic car show, and more. If this isn't enough to keep you busy, the town of Bellaire is 10 minutes away, with more dining and shopping options as well as a movie theater with first-run shows. For those who can't get enough of the outdoors, the Grass River Natural Area is only 10 minutes away, too.
