Description of the Madaket vacation cottage rental
A secluded location awaits you for your island getaway. Step out the front door and walk 25 yards down a path to your own private beach. Enjoy swimming, long walks, kayaking and sailing. Facing due west, the cottage offers spectacular sunsets over the harbor. For those seeking relaxation and solitude, the location is ideal. Nantucket Town is a 10 minute ride away with great restaurants, theatre, museums and , of course, shopping.
Recent upgrades include new paint throughout, new appliances, and first floor bath renovation. The main level features an open floor plan with galley kitchen flowing into the dining and living rooms. Bedroom on first floor has a queen size bed; full bath in hallway. Upstairs loft has a daybed with pullout trundle (2 twin beds), great water views from small deck, and 3/4 bath.

The cottage sits directly on Madaket harbor, a perfect shallow harbor for boating, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking; ideal for families with small children. Bike, walk or drive the 1.5 miles to Madaket beach-great for body-surfing, surfboarding and swimming. Shopping, restaurants, museums, and theatre await you in Nantucket Town. Seasonally, a convenient bus service with a stop 5 minutes from the house can take you to town and other island locations. The cottage faces west for some of the most breathtaking sunsets to be seen.
