Description of the Nantucket Town vacation apartment rental
This historic Nantucket property at 40 Union Street has been thoroughly renovated and Air Conditioned and is an easy walk to historical sites, Main Street, a grocery store, a fresh seafood market, excellent restaurants, and a sandy harbor side beach for swimming and kayaking. Thus, no car is needed, but off-street parking is provided. The house has two rental units. From the entry foyer, you enter the spacious first floor unit in the living room, which flows to the dining and kitchen areas beyond. Laundry facilities are located adjacent to the kitchen. The back deck off the kitchen is surrounded by an attractive yard with charcoal grills. The two bedrooms (one with a queen bed, the other with two twin beds) are located off the living areas. There are two full baths - one is in the master bedroom. In addition, the living room sofa can be used as a sleeper bed.

At the nearby harbor beach, you can rent kayaks, wade or swim, watch seagulls catch their food, walk the beach for shells, listen to the ferries, and watch the harbor activities. The island also offers an extensive network of biking and walking paths, excellent birdwatching, the Maria Mitchell Nature center, the Whaling Museum, deep-sea fishing, ocean swimming, outstanding restaurants, and great shopping in the historic town center.
