Built in 1872, this Victorian has lots of charm and style - with classic details that include window seats, floor to ceiling windows, an elegant mantle, a carved 'gingerbread' railing on the main interior staircase, a built-in ironing board, breakfast nook, pantry and built in bookshelves. The house is spacious, bright, airy and clean. The large wrap-around porch affords a water view, and is set with plenty of comfortable furniture and a gas grill. Just one block from the beach and 2 blocks from downtown, the location is ideal and highly sought after. Owned by a family of carpenters and craftsmen, this home provides history, comfort, color, views and access to all you'll need for your island vacation.

The heart of downtown Oak Bluffs is just two blocks away, offering boutiques, restaurants, historic sites, and a busy harbor. In addition to beaches, within 4 blocks of the house there are open fields, a playground, tennis courts, a basketball quart, and a baseball diamond. From this location enjoy all that the island has to offer, without need for a car - it's all right there on your doorstep!

  • The first floor bathroom was fully renovated in April 2006 - so it is Brand New! - with stone tiles on the floor and all new fixtures. The outdoor shower at the back of the house was also just built in April of 2006.

  • Of the five bedrooms, one is on the first floor (with a double bed) while the other four are on the second floor. All rooms are suited with new and comfortable mattresses and plenty of pillows, and each room is decorated with a bedspread and decorative pillows, with an extra blanket in case of cool temperatures, as well as a fan in case of high temperatures. All bedrooms were painted in April of 2006, and are bright, fresh and well ventilated with big new windows. 2 Bedrooms have cable TVs, one with DVD. The bedroom furnished with 2 twin beds has its own staircase leading down to the kitchen.
