Good Harbor House Description: This tastefully decorated and sparkling apartment is on the first floor of a landmark Victorian, with a grand wrap-around veranda. Good Harbor House has its own private entrance from the side veranda, which overlooks the private landscaped/fenced grounds. Step out and enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful gardens, or just relax and listen to the birds singing. The large unit includes one bedroom with queen 4-poster bed, full bathroom, and a fully-equipped walk-through kitchen which opens to a very comfortable living room/den area with queen sleep sofa. Additional amenities include parking, AC, Cable TV/DVD and phone. Linens, beach towels and beach chairs provided. Off-street parking. This is a non-smoking accommodation. No pets of any kind allowed. Sleeps up to 4. Families with children welcome.
Location: Good Harbor house is less than 1 block from Good Harbor Beach, a picture-perfect spot, with over a 1/2 mile of white sandy beach and dunes for glorious walking, swimming and water sports. This is Gloucester's 'pride and joy', and people come from far and wide to paint and photograph this very spot. A very short walk will bring you to the famous 'Back Shore', a breathtaking walk along the ocean. Your location is also walking distance to food markets, restaurants, laundry; not to mention, the best ice cream shop! You are 1 mile to Gloucester center and harbor, where whale-watching and harbor cruise are available. Fabulous restaurants and quaint shops line the main street and harbor of the center. Just 1 mile away you will find Rocky Neck, the nation's oldest artist colony. Rockport is just 3 miles away. Boston, an easy day trip by commuter rail.
The Suite @ Good Harbor House: A spacious suite on the grounds of Good Harbor House, sleeping 2. Your suite has its own private entrance from lovely private fenced-in grounds. It has a queen 4-poster bed, private bath, sitting area w/table and chairs. AC, Cable TV/DVD, wet bar sink, refrigerator, micro and coffee maker. Great weekly rates from $650 a week depending upon season and length of stay. Nightly stays when available with 3 night minimum stay for advanced reservations from Memorial Day through October 31st. $85 - $135 (varies by season, number of nights). Fewer nights possible on short notice bookings, if available. Parking. No smoking
