During the summer, our gardens offer an array of flowers including Blue Hydrangeas, Day Lillies, Pink Summer Roses and Shasta Daisies.
Near Red River & Chatham Beaches & Bike Trail !: Hop on your bike and within ten minutes you are on the Cape Cod Rail Trail bike way which is great for exploring, getting exercise and safe for the whole family. At the Sandpiper House you can have the best of both worlds - enjoy all that Harwich offers and then explore close-by quaint Chatham, and be awed at the breathtaking views of the Atlantic from 'Chatham Light'. The house is within a short drive to Forest Street Beach and Pleasant St. Beach in South Chatham. Red River Beach in South Harwich is just a mile away and offers a larger beach, plenty of parking and lifeguards during the summer season. Bank St. Beach in Harwichport is another popular beach for families. Beach chairs and a beach umbrella are provided.
More Local Activities: Things to do in the area: Play Golf at the Chatham Seaside Links or Harwichport Golf Course. Play Tennis at Brooks Park or at Locarios right down the road on Route 28.
